First Aid
Being the first on the scene or part of an emergency and understanding what to do, could be the difference between life and death. It’s an important part of diving and Dive Wellington is very focused on ensuring that all divers are competent in this area. Dive Wellington offers a number of courses for individuals and groups that can be customised as required.
Emergency First Response Course
Emergency First Response training focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. Course participants learn simple to follow steps for emergency care and practice applying skills in a non-stressful learning environment. All courses are supported by self-study manuals, videos and quick reference cards to enhance learning and allow you start learning right away.
Emergency First Response Refresher Course
Time to refresh your CPR and first aid skills? Do you hold a CPR or First Aid card from another training organisation? If so, you are eligible to attend the Emergency First Response Refresher course.
Emergency First Response Instructor Course
During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others. The Instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First. Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses. Most PADI Instructors are also Emergency First Response Instructors.
Workplace First Aid Course
MEDIC First Aid offers comprehensive First Aid at Work courses, specifically designed to meet Workplace NZ and NZQA national standards for CPR and Emergency First Response courses in the workplace.
