Learn to manage basic scuba diving equipment repairs and adjustments. Understand routine care and maintenance procedures and how dive gear works.

Don’t miss a dive due to minor issues with your scuba diving equipment. Whether it's a missing o-ring, wetsuit tear or a broken fin strap, the PADI Equipment Specialist course teaches you to manage basic repairs and adjustments. You'll also learn more about how your gear works, making you more comfortable with it and better prepared to take care of your investment.

The Emergency Oxygen Provider Course has two parts:

  • Knowledge Development (you will be sent an elearning code for you to login and study, independently prior to the practical sessions)
  • Practical class session where you will learn about routine care and maintenance procedures as well as scuba equipment storage recommendations. Your instructor will show you how to overcome some common equipment problems and offer equipment configuration suggestions.

The course takes about 6 hours.

This course does not have any in-water training.

Courses are run on demand.

Prerequisites:

Due to the ongoing risk of COVID 19, to ensure our safety and yours, we have changed things around a little here at Dive Wellington.

Anyone partaking on a course, hiring dive gear, or going on a charter/trip MUST have a vaccination pass.

Customers must wear a face-covering inside at all times, and keep a 2m distance between other customers and staff where possible.

If travelling for a course/dive club, we will have very limited transport in the Dive Wellington van, but we recommend taking your own private vehicle to the site.

Masks, snorkels and regulators will be soaked in disinfectant after each use to avoid transmission.

As always, if you are unwell or have cold/flu-like symptoms, please stay home and get tested.

Please help keep everyone safe by following these regulations.

You can start your course right away when you purchase "Start NOW".  You will be sent an eLearning code, a link to the eLearning web page, and instructions on how to access the online theory content.

We will be in contact to discuss course dates and options.

In order to complete the course, you will still need to finish any remaining training elements, including medical forms, pool and sea training, if included. You will need to pay for the remainder of the course before your in water training commences.
