DIVE TRAINING

PADI & TDI Sidemount Course.

We are looking to run a Sidemount diver course over the next few months and wanted to see how many people were interested. The course runs over two days with theory, pool session and a sea dive on the first day, followed by two sea dives on the second. Price $450 (gear hire, certification and manual are included in the price of the course). We also have rental Sidemount equipment for you to use after your course to develop your skills.

Improve your diver safety by joining us for a comprehensive RESCUE COURSE. You will learn the techniques needed to look after yourself, as well as help your buddy should the need arise. A mixture of class time, pool sessions and sea dives to practice different rescue scenarios. Spread over 2 full weekends, July 23, 24, 30 and 31st. The prerequiste is advanced open water and a current dive medical, $399. You also need a current FIRST AID certification,which we will be running in conjunction with the rescue course, $170.

Once you have learnt to dive, the next step is to do your ADVANCED OPEN WATER course. The goal of this course is to improve your dive skills, make you more in control of your bouyancy and get comfortable diving a little deeper. Run over a weekend and a week night, the course consists of 5 seperate dives, each one focusing on a different skill set, $399. Our next course is July 16th and 17th.

We offer most PADI SPECIALTIES and prices vary depending on the specialty and how many dive are involved. Choose night, deep, wreck, drift, search and recovery, photography, boat, marine fish id or any of the others we offer.

The PADI SELF RELIANT DIVER course is for those that may dive alone like photographers. Our next course is run over 2 Sundays July 3rd and 10th and spaces are limited, $450. The prerequisite is that you must have over 100 logged dives, be an advanced open weater diver and pass an inwater skills assesment as well as your own equipment.

The first professional level course is DIVE MASTER. This teaches you how to guide divers and assist on courses. An intensive course that improves your dive skills and knowledge, $1200 plus Padi application fee.

We also run FULL TIME INSTRUCTOR courses. These run 4 days per week and are eligble for student loans and allowances. Do over 100 dives over 42 weeks,exit as a Padi Instructor with 5 specialty instructor qualifications. Learn everything you need to be ready to work in the dive industry. our next intake is August 29th.

DIVE TRIPS

Dive Wellington run more trips than any other dive store in the area. We advertise our trips well ahead of time and a small deposit secures your place,with the balance due a month before departure. We also run our own charter boat diving some of the best spots in Wellington.

Labour Weekend Lermotov Wreck Diving Trip

Three days of diving the wreck of the Cruise Liner, the Mikhail Lermontov. This 176 meter wreck should be on every divers bucket list! We will catch the ferry across on the Friday and head to Port Gore Lodge for 3 nights, catching the ferry home Monday evening. Includes accommodation, meals, 2 to 3 dives per day, tanks and weights, air fills and return shuttle to the Lodge. Price for the trip is $795, plus ferry

Labour Weekend  BAY OF ISLANDS. Dive the wreck of the Canterbury as well as some spectacular reef dives. The trip includes 4 nights accommodation, all meals, 3 days of diving, tank and weightbelt hire. There is a shuttle available from Auckland and a $200 deposit secures your place. Book early to secure cheap flights. We have done this trip many times and keep going back, if you want a relaxing holiday with some great dives, this is the one for you.

Waitangi Weekend 2017, join us as we head to MAYOR ISLAND. Our plan is to dive Mayor Island and possibly the wreck of the Rena. A three day charter diving and fishing with the option of on shore accommodation for most of the trip. A $200 deposit secures your place, $850.
